About

Founded in 1927 and located in Clarence, N.Y., a suburb of Buffalo, Brookfield has been a home away from home for hundreds of members for several generations. As a family-oriented private country club, we recognize the importance of spending quality time with your friends and loved ones. Our Club is a premier private facility in the Western New York Region and is owned by member stockholders.

An ongoing tradition of excellence.

Founded as the Meadowbrook Country Club and located in Clarence, New York, Brookfield Country Club has a rich heritage dating back to 1927. The club's name change occurred in 1943 when 28 members financed the purchase of the Meadowbrook Club and its equipment. For nearly 100 years, Brookfield has enjoyed an active, steady membership and continuous expansion of the club's facilities and amenities.

Designed by Canadian Architect, William Harries, the golf course spreads over 170 acres and can be described as a traditional layout with subtle elevation change, mature tree lined fairways, and small to medium sized greens. The Club has served as host to such prestigious events including the 1948 Western Open won by Mr. Ben Hogan and the 1985 USGA Junior Boys Championship won by Mr. Charles Rymer.

Brookfield Country Club, Inc. was incorporated on April 14, 1944, and is the successor to the Meadowbrook Country Club. As a member-owned club, golf membership is capped at 365 members to allow convenient play and easy access to the course. The Club is managed by a Board of 11 Directors, elected by the stockholders.

Dress code & Etiquette

Dress code standards apply to all adults, children, and guests. Members are responsible for the attire of their children and their guests. Members should inform their guests of the dress code standards prior to their arrival at the Club.

The overal goal of Brookfield Country Club is to consistently uphold our Club's culture with respect to tradition, modesty, and the comfort of fellow members and their guests. When making casual-attire decisions, we prefer that our members dress up rather than dress down when visiting the Club.
