- Deep End Use: Chip System
- Placing your child's safety as our top priority, we are enforcing a "Chip System" for swimmers 12 and under. Members and guests aged 12 years old and under must take a deep end swim test, administered by the Pool Director or other lifeguards, before entering the deep end/diving board area.
- If your child fully passes the deep end test, he/she will be awarded a Blue Chip, which allows swimmers full access to all areas of the pool, including the diving board.
- If a swimmer only passes part of the test, they will receive a White Chip. Swimmers who have earned a White Chip may only swim where the depth is four feet and below (competition pool area). Children with White Chip status may not use the deep end or diving board area, even when supervised by a parent or guardian.
- A large bulletin board with the system details will be placed under the awning by the ice machine. Each child will have a chip with their name on it. Upon entering the pool complex, swimmers will move their chip from "out" to "in." When leaving, they should switch their chip from "in" to "out."
- Your child or guest can take the deep end test as many times as they wish to try and achieve Blue Chip status. If a swimmer is struggling to pass, we highly recommend lessons or the swim team.
